Couche means pumpkin in Aosta Valley local language.
STYLE
The term Pumpkin Ale originated in America during the colonial period when settlers had little access to barley malt, obliging them to find alternative ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
- Malts: pale Italian barley malt, caramel Munich malt, fresh local pumpkin, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.
- Hops: Perle hops grown in Tettnang, Germany.
- Yeast: top-fermenting (saccharomyces cerevisiae).
