Blou means rye in Aosta Valley local language.
STYLE
Rye Beer – Roggen (rye in German). This rye beer is similar to a weizenbier (German for wheat beer) or a weissbier (German for white beer) but replacing wheat malt with rye malt.
INGREDIENTS
- Malts: pale Italian malt and caramel malt from Germany.
- Additional cereals: rye malt, wheat malt.
- Hops: Perle hops from Tettnang, Germany.
- Yeast: top-fermenting (saccharomyces cerevisiae).
